Lettie Lou Adkinson

Lettie Lou Adkinson was born to the late Johnnie Tucker and Etta Maude Davis-Tucker in Kaufman, Texas on November 11, 1948. She is preceded by siblings Billie Jean Booker, Charles Etta Coleman, Johnnie Earl Tucker, and George Marshall Tucker with remaining siblings Inez Marie Davis, Peggy Ruth Henderson-Joe, and Andria Lee Jones (Audrey).

She met and married Willie D. Adkinson on June 14, 1970, and to this union 4 children were born. She also insured her step-son was looked after and cared for. She holds dear seven grand children, one great granddaughter, and a special grand-pup. Lettie was a lover of God who sought to bring the knowledge of God to whomever she came across. There was no neighbor she could meet on the street, at the grocery store, or at a gas station that she would pass without at least saying God bless you. She was big on her conversations with God which you would often find her journaling about, if you did not hear her speaking aloud to Him around her home. Lettie sought to please God in all her dealings seeking God’s guidance to the right way in which to worship Him. This search lead her back to her first love, joining Faith and Deliverance Christian Center, pastored by her brother-in-law Apostle Anthony Jones, who is married to her sister Andria Jones. Lettie’s faith is extraordinary, she believed God would bring healing to her in the natural or in route to the glory He has promised.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 52 years, Willie D. Adkinson; four sons, Lester Demus, Earlawn (Earl) Adkinson, Elgin Adkinson, and Reggie Adkinson; one daughter, LaJeanna Adkinson-Dotson; four daughters-in-love, Carletta Demus, Antonisha Adkinson, Gloria Adkinson, and Sarah Adkinson; one son-in-law Eddie Dotson; eight grandchildren, Destanie Adkinson, Devone Adkinson, Dante Mendez, Rentrell Williams, Saraiyah Williams, Aerial Adkinson, Gabriel Brody, and Caleb Adkinson; one great granddaughter Brinzley Adkinson; three sisters Inez Davis, Peggy Henderson-Joe, and Andria Jones; one grand pup Romeo Adkinson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Though we miss her in the physical we accept, acknowledge, and applaud her arrival to the heavenly home God has promised and provides.
