Mrs. Barbara L. Thomas

Barbara Lanelle Thomas Pierson was born June 21, 1947, in Forney, Texas, to
the parentage of the late Ira Pierson, Sr. and Clide Baker Pierson. She married Jerry
Thomas, and they celebrated 56 years of marriage. To this union, one daughter,
“Buttons” Jaila Thomas Sims. She attended Burnett High School in Terrell, Texas, and
was a graduate of the class of 1965. She excelled in school and was a member of the
Mighty Tiger Marching Band.

After graduation, she worked at Texas Instruments and was the first black
secretary. Later, she would work at Dallas ISD where she retired after 42 years.
She returned to college and graduated with a bachelor’s degree of Science from
Kaplan University.

Barbara served as a faithful member at Greater Life Church and actively
participated in the Silver Stars for approximately the last 10 years.
Nana, as her grandchildren called her, loved her family. She and her sister, Mary
started their family reunion in 1977 and continued yearly until recently. She has
three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Nana was a BIG part of their lives.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Ira, Sr. and Clide Pierson; six
brothers, Ira Pierson, Jr., Edgar Pierson, Matt Ellis Pierson, Howard Pierson, Claude
Pierson, and Donald Pierson; four sisters, Opal Pierson, Elizabeth Palmer, Pearlie
Combs, and Christine Ward.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Jerry Thomas;
daughter, Jaila Thomas Sims (Jeremy); two sisters, Mary Stovall of Dallas,
Texas and Clidie Pierson (Bill) of Terrell, Texas; one aunt, Martha Harris;
three granddaughters, Raykelle S. Thomas, Markessia J. Thomas
Lester, and Kailyn Chance; two great-granddaughters,
Aniylah Rae Anderson and Cartleigh Rae Willis, and
a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Mr. Jimmy House

Mr. Jimmy House was born on August 14, 1942, in Terrell, TX to the parentage of Mr. Champ
House, and Mrs. Lillie Mae House (Black). He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 4 sisters, a daughter, Angela House, and one grandson Michael Pencel . Jimmy House entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the age of 81.

Jimmy house shared two daughters with companion, Annie Mae Perkins; Hope House and
Rochelle House. Later, Jimmy would marry the late Cora Johnson. To this union was born three daughters, Teosha House, the late Angela House, and the late Raquel House, in addition to three other daughters, Shaundra Summerfield, Daina Summerfield, and Penny Missouri.

Jimmy met his current wife, Mary Agwuh (Potts) in 1987. In this union, Jimmy gained two
more children; Nelson Agwuh (Soheila) and Maurine Agwuh. Jimmy and Mary enjoyed each
other’s company and loved to go on walks to the park and have picnics. During their courtship Jimmy taught Mary how to fish, and this would be one of their favorite things to do together throughout the course of their relationship. They accepted each other’s hand in marriage in 1997 and remained by each other’s side until God called him home.

Jimmy House worked for Madix and later for Air Systems Components in Terrell, TX from 1998 until 2002. He loved to go to church, go for walks, play with his grandchildren, and surely loved to go to the creek and fish. He also had a green thumb and grew some of the best watermelons, cantaloupe, okra, squash and greens. He passed this skill to his son-in-love, Nelson.

Jimmy House surrendered his life to Jesus Christ in 1998 under the leadership of Bishop Jerry F. Potts and became a member of Love and Praise Fellowship Church, where he remained a devout member until his calling home to be with The Lord. Brother House accepted his calling into deaconship on March 25, 2001. Deacon Jimmy House was a loving husband, father, and a great friend to many.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Wife, Mary House; Children, Hope House, Rochelle House, Teosha House, Shaundra Summerfield, Daina Summerfield, Penny Missouri, Nelson Agwuh (Soheila), and Maurine Agwuh, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Teron D. Queen

Teron D. Queen

On April 23, 1973 to the parentage of SHEROLL D. CATHCART and TERRY S.
QUEEN, Teron D. Queen was born. Later at the marriage of Sheroll and HAROLD
E. WILSON on September 8, 1978, Teron became a shining member of the Wilson
family.

At an early age, Teron fellowshipped and worshiped with the Shiloh Baptist Church
of Terrell where his great-grandfather, Rev. Mack Henry Cathcart had pastored for
many years. However, later he would join and be baptized by his grandfather the
Rev. Mack Henry Cathcart Jr. at the New Hope Baptist Church of Royce City,
Texas.

Teron was educated at early schools at Burnett Elementary but later graduated from
North Garland High School in May 1992 where he excelled at multiple sports
including Track & Field and Football.

After high school, Teron attended Tyler Jr. College in Tyler, Texas completing his
education at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas in Computer
Technology. Teron also completed a full course of instruction in Aviation Drone
Piloting at the Terrell Municipal Airport in Terrell, Texas, and a technician course in
dialysis at the DiVita Infusion Center, Rockwall, Texas.

During his occupational career, Teron worked a number of years for Pepsico Inc. as
a security tech in computer information and also multiple contract services. Teron
also loved the hobbies of golfing and fishing.

Teron is preceded in death by his grandparents who help guide him Rev. Mack
Henry Cathcart Jr. and Rudell Cathcart.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Sheroll; stepfather, Harold; brother,
Timothy Wilson; sister, Mahnaz Wilson; aunt, Michell Cathcart; uncle, Willie
Cathcart, and loving cousins, nephews, nieces, and many remembered friends.

Mr. Fred Layne Baldwin
April 1, 1953 to September 4, 2023

Fred Baldwin passed away on September 4, 2023. He was born in Dallas, Texas
to Doran Baldwin and Norman Elliot Baldwin, Jr. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother who spent many weekends attending his grandkid’s sporting events.
He is survived by his daughters, Kristy Work-Self and husband Michael, Melissa Cather and
husband Scott, and bonus daughter in his heart, Miranda Berniard and husband Bryce;
Sisters, Sherri Taylor and Kathy Byford; brother Norman Ray Baldwin, Sr.; A host of grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Breatney Daniel Sheffield, was born on March 30, 1992, to  Tanisha Sheffield and Lasunski My ricks. Breatney was free spirited with a very gentle heart. She was naturally caring and was a people person. She was someone who sometimes seemed if they didn’t have a care in the world. Loving her life and had established her own identity.She just took the day and rolled with it. But bundled up under all that she desired acceptance from others and love as she gave back to those she was closest to. She was a hard worker , excited  that she had brought forth her very own daughter. Breatney is a sister, aunty, and very proud of her latest achievements. Breatney had just begun to accept Jesus Christ into her life and so desired to be part of a better self and seeking a safe haven. Breatney could surprisingly be forgiven at the end of family disagreements. Breatney departed this life on August 14,2023 and was preceded in death by her uncle Marcus Sheffield, aunty Lisa Word law Sheffield and cousin Jeremy Sheffield and a great grandmother Alice Bryson Sheffield. Breatney leaves to cherish her memories: her beautiful daughter Saniqhe Sheffield ,her mother Tanisha Sheffield,her dad Lasunski Myricks, two brothers Gaylland Richardson and London Williams, cousins, nieces and a nephew, along with her grandmothers Shurodia Sheffield and Joan Smith and two aunties Kamesha Sheffield and Keke Smith and host of relatives and friends.

Ms. Ida Mae Eastman

Ida Mae Eastman, a jewel was born, on February 24, 1960, to the late
parents, Willie Lee Lewis and Mary Lee Tovan Lewis both from Vicksburg,
Mississippi. In 1979 Ida met and married Gary Eastman to this union 2
children were born. Ida later met Larry Peoples who she has been with
for 23 years.  Ida was a devoted and loyal employee for over 20 years at Mayberry
Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care in Garland, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee Lewis and Mary Lee
Lewis Tovan, sister, Selia Mae Keys, and brother, Roy Joesph Clavelle.
During her final days, she was surrounded by family. Ida gentle smile was
so beautiful, and she had a heart of gold. She had a smile that lit up the
room. The things that made her happy the most were being with her kids
& grandkids and making everyone happy that was around her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Darrell Dewayne
Lewis, Mary Louise Eastman (Nicholas Pringle Sr.), and Brittany Denice
Bailey; five grandchildren, Darrell Dewayne Lewis Jr, Nicholas Pringle Jr,
Princess Pringle, Ken Amare Shaw, and Sernity Ida Mae Eastman; sister,
Julia Mae Jones; brother-in-law, Artis Lee Jones all of Vicksburg Ms, ; dear
brother of Vicksburg, MS, Lester Clavelle (sister-in-law, Doris Clavelle),
the only two surviving siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins
that loved her dearly.

De’Brenese J. Henry was born May 16, 1992 in Terrell, TX to the
parentage of Antwionette Henry and Willie McElroy.
She attended Terrell ISD and Kaufman ISD where she played
Volleyball and Basketball. As a child she grew up and was a
member of St. James AME Church of Terrell, TX. She later joined
The Way of Truth Church of Dallas, TX.

Debra is preceded in death by her grandmother – Mary Ann
Henry. She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Kymiah Otunba;
son, Kaceon “Kash” Henry; parents, Antwionette and Willie
McElroy; brothers, Levon Moss, Demontrez McElroy, Horace Frye;
sisters, Ambrisha Williams, Alyssa Williams; uncle, Ernest Frye;
