Ira McKeever III died unexpectedly and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 22, 2022 at the age of 42 in Waxahachie, Texas. Mr. McKeever was found unresponsive in his residence. Ira is survived by his mother, Beverly Ann Brown McKeever of Houston, Texas; his children, Heaven Nicole Allen (19) of Denton, Texas, I’Niya Nicole McKeever (11) of Terrell, Texas, and I’Riyah Amanda McKeever (4) of Arlington, Texas; his sister, Emily McKeever of Abu Dhabi, UAE; his significant other, Amelia Collins of Arlington, Texas; his mother’s village, Joan C. Watson, Vernita C. Gabriel, and Debra Mayberry Walter; his childhood best friend, Michael Bailey; his friends, Jasmine Maull, Tameka Harris, and LaShunda Johnson; his extended family including uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ira McKeever, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Ira McKeever, Sr. and Clara McKeever; his maternal grandparents, James Edgar Brown and Emily Brown; his uncles, Michael McKeever and James Melvin Brown.
Ira was born in Houston, Texas on September 1, 1979 to Ira McKeever, Jr. and Beverly Ann Brown McKeever. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Reverend Robert Menefee at Greenspoint Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Ira received his education within the Aldine Independent School District and graduated from Aldine Night High School in 1997. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army to serve his country. He was a skilled, talented artist with an artistic ability that could not be denied. He was the father of daughters that played a role in making him a better man. He loved his children wholeheartedly. Ira will be remembered for his sense of humor, work ethic, and loving, caring heart.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on May 7, 2022 at Dubose Funeral Home.
Burial will be held at the DFW National Cemetery on May 19, 2022 at 10:15 AM
