Mr. Brian D. Barrett

BRIAN DALE BARRETT, was born on April 14, 1966 to the union of Willie Dennis Barrett and Voncella Davis. He had a quiet confidence about himself, was a caring and nurturing individual with the heart of a servant and the true spirit of a care-giver. 

Brian was educated in the Fort Worth public school system at a young age and later earned an Associate of Arts degree with a major in Psychology in 1986 from Tarrant County Junior College; a Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 with a major in Psychology & minor in Business Administration from Texas Wesleyan University; and a Master of Arts degree in 1996 with a major in Communications from Texas Christian University. Brian went on to work in the educational field for over 38 years at Tarrant County Junior College in Fort Worth, TX. with positions as Assistant Director of Admissions and Registrar. 

Brian was a Christian and joined Friendship-West Baptist Church in Dallas, TX under the leadership of Senior Pastor Dr. Frederick Douglas Haynes III . He was a member of the Praise & Worship Team and attended church services regularly. Brian had the voice of an angel and sang in many of his friend’s weddings and at various functions when requested. 

Brian leaves to cherish his memories: a special “God” daughter, Rhonda Collins; 3 special “God” sisters- Lanelle Thomas (Willie), Michelle Wysinger (Jackie) and Ingrid Walker (Vincent); one special grand-daughter Zya and a host of relatives, cousins and numerous friends from coast to coast.

Orlando Lerone Robinson

Orlando was born in Terrell, Tx on November 7, 1967 to Sammy Robinson Jr. and the late Brenda Presley.

He became a member of Union Valley Baptist Church at a young age. He was preceded in death by Brenda Presley Smith (mother), Lillian B. Presley (Grandmother), Bill Presley Sr. (Grandfather), Osceola Robinson Smith “Ms. Pete” (grandmother) and Sammy Robinson Sr. (grandfather)

Orlando voluntarily enlisted with US Army; becoming a combat Veteran when he answered the calls to defend our liberties and freedom during Desert Storm serving from July 25, 1988 – 1/25/1993 and was honorably discharged upon completing active duty obligations.

Upon returning home Orlando married Sonja Kirk on (May 10, 2007) and to this union 4 children were born.

Orlando survivors include: Wife –Sonja Robinson of Wills Point, TX. 2 Sons – Orlando L. Robinson Jr. and Xavier R. Robinson of Wills Point, TX. 2 Daughters – Nova T. Robinson and Chevelle L. And Barrett Smith (Marla) of Terrell, TX. 6 Sisters – Alexandra T. Robinson (Willie) of Crandall, Tx., Antoinette McElroy (Willie) of Terrell, Tx., and Shandrea Y. Robinson of Crandall, Tx., Lynn Smith, of Dallas, TX, Arnecia Robinson of Dallas, TX, and Angela Smith of Dallas, Tx. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

RITA JEANNETTE DYE WAS BORN JANUARY 2ND, 1953 TO THE PARENTAGE OF ARCHIE LEE & JESSIE FAYE WHITE IN TERRELL, TEXAS. SHE WAS ONE OF SEVEN CHILDREN BORN FROM THIS UNION.  RITA ACCEPTED JESUS CHRIST AT AN EARLY AGE AND UNITED WITH MOUNT HEBRON BAPTIST CHURCH UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF REV WITHERSPOON & LATER MOUNT OLIVE BAPTIST CHURCH IN TERRELL TX, UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF REV IVAN JOHNSON. RITA WAS CURRENTLY ATTENDING BETHLEHEM BAPTIST CHURCH, TERRELL, TX, UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF REV RICHARD E. ROLLERSON JR.  SHE WAS A BELIEVER & DEVOUT WOMAN OF GOD WHO MIRRORED CHRIST IN THE SERVITUDE OF OTHERS.  

RITA ATTENDED TERRELL HIGH SCHOOL WHERE SHE GRADUATED IN 1971. UPON GRADUATION SHE HEADED TO TRINITY VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN ATHENS, TX.   SHE DECIDED TO GO BACK TO COLLEGE IN 2019 AND OBTAINED AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE FROM TRINITY VALLEY IN 2021. FOLLOWING GRADUATION, SHE ATTENDED TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY IN COMMERCE & WOULD HAVE OBTAINED HER BACHELORS DEGREE THIS MAY 2023.  

HER CAREER WAS CENTERED AROUND HER HEALING TOUCH, GENUINE LOVE, AND INTENTIONAL CARE FOR ALL.  SHE BEGAN HER CAREER AS A NUSRING ASSISTANT AT JACKSON CLINIC HOSPITAL, FOLLOWED BY AXCEL MEDICAL CLINIC & BAYLOR SCOTT & WHITE.  AFTER SUCH A FULFILLING CAREER IN NURSING, RITA DECIDED TO PURSUE HER FIRST LOVE OF WORKING WITH CHILDREN & BECAME A BEHAVIORAL SPECIALIST IN THE TERRELL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT WHERE SHE COMMITTED HERSELF UNTIL SHE RETIRED.  

ON JULY 18TH, 1975 RITA MARRIED THE LOVE OF HER LIFE JAMES EARL DYE AND TOGETHER THEY PARENTED 3 CHILDREN JONELLE DAWN GREEN (SEBASTIAN GREEN) JAMIAYA EARVETTE DYE & KELLEE MARQUIS DYE (NATASHA DYE). 

SHE IS PROCEEDED IN DEATH BY HER FATHER & MOTHER, 3 SISTERS (EURRAH THOMAS, BLYNTHIA FORD & LILLIAN WHITE) AND ONE BROTHER (JAMES DABNEY).

SHE LEAVES TO CHERISH HER MEMORY… HER HUSBAND JAMES EARL DYE, 3 CHILDREN JONELLE DAWN GREEN (SEBASTIAN GREEN) JAMIAYA EARVETTE DYE & KELLEE MARQUIS DYE (NATASHA DYE). February 28, 1960 – January 30, 2023

Christeen Finch was born February 28, 1960 in Terrell, Texas to Willie Finch and Louise Moss Finch. She attended school in Garland, Texas. Christeen parted this life on January 30, 2023.

Christeen known as Lavern loved her family. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She was an avid domino player. She was previously employed with Durham Bus Transportation and Goldstar Transit.

She is preceded in death by her father, Willie Finch, mother, Louise Moss Finch, sister, Carolyn Ann Finch. Christeen leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Casper Ellis (Tausha) and Reggie Choice (Khellie); one daughter, Chrystal Finch (Joe) all of Terrell; grandchildren, Caleb Ellis, Li’neshya Brunley, Kimber Ellis, Jmar Stokes, Reggie Choice, Jr., Jaylen Tillman, Khylei Jackson, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives & friends. Mr. Michael Adway

December 17, 1968 —- January 20, 2023

Michael Ray Adway was born December 17, 1968 to the parents of Kenneth Adway and Arminture Marks Adway in Dallas, Texas. He attended school in Dallas and was a graduate of South Oak Cliff High School (SOC) class of 1987.

Mike became a member of Faithful Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor N. C. Sargent.

Michael was an avid sports fan, college, high school & professional. He loved the Dallas Cowboys.

In 2016 he met and married Diondra Hall and to this union he had two children. Michael was employed at UPS for many years until a medical condition caused him to resign.

Michael was preceded in death by both parents, sister, Debbie, and brother, Andre.

Michael leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Diondra Adway; son, Jayden Hall; daughter, Ja’Kyri Adway; aunts, Doris Morgan, Barbara Mitchell, Janice Hill; niece, Justic Belgrave; uncle, Donald Marks; close family friends, Pamela Jones & Maralla Braggs, and a host of family and friends.

Juan “Chunta” Romo-Arredondo

Juan “Chunta” Romo-Arredondo was born in Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico on May 28th , 1958. Chunta moved to Terrell Texas over 30 years ago where he met Patricia Romo whom he built a life with. He Lived a great part of his life in Terrell, Tx where he also made several lifelong friends. Chunta always welcomed anyone in his home, and always managed to make time for his loved ones even if it was just small talk for hours. He was patient, kind and always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed. He was a loving husband, father figure, brother, uncle, neighbor, and friend. His memory will live on and he will never be forgotten. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Julio and wife Patricia. He is survived by his sisters: Claudia, Ruby, Rosa, Martha, Christina and Juana, Brothers: Jose, Alberto, and Cresencio, Daughters: Diana, Bridget and his nieces and nephews.

Juan “Chunta” Romo-Arredondo nacio en Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico el 28 de Mayo del 1958. Chunta semudo a Terrell, Tx hace mas de 30 años donde conocio a Patricia Romo con quien formo una vida. Vivio gran parte de su vida en Terrell donde conocio amigos de toda la vida. Las puertas de su casa siempre estubieron abiertas para sus familiares y amigos sin importar las circunstancias. Fue un hombre muy paciente y docil, y siempre estaba dispuesto a dar la mano cuando se nesesitaba. Fue un gran esposo, figura paterna, hermano, tio, vecino, y amigo. Su memoria vivira para siempre y jamas sera olvidado. Le sobreviven sus hijas: Diana, Bridgett, sus hermanos: Jose, Alberto, and Cresencio, sus hermanas: Claudia, Ruby, Rosa, Martha, Christina, Juana y sus sobrinos y sobrinas. Fallecidos: Su madre y padre, Hermano Julio y esposa Patricia.

Mr. Jesse Ray Turner a lifelong resident of Terrell, Texas died on January 6, 2023, at his resident.  Mr. Turner was a retired teacher and coach in the Terrell ISD School district and was loved my many co-workers, students, and classmates.

Ms. Lisa Jean Floyd was born in Denison, Texas on September 26, 1958, and died on January 5, 2023 in Dallas, Texas.  Ms. Floyd was surrounded by Her family and friends at the time of her death.  She leaves to cherish her memories children, and other family and friends.

Duncan Demaun Andre Pierson 

Duncan Demaun Andre Pierson (Affectionately Known as Mon) was born on January 1, 1985 to the Parentage of Duncanary Davis and Cynthia Pierson Davis.

Duncan attended school in Terrell, where  he graduated in 2003.  He accepted Christ at an early age at the New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the late Pastor Mitchell and continued his fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Clarence Roberson.  Duncan was a member of the youth choir, youth Ushers & Awanna.

As an adult he joined Mt. Hebron Victory Faith Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Samuel Hawkins.  Duncan was an internal optimist, friendly, always greeting you with a smile.  He was ever ready to lend a helping hand.

Duncan was preceded in death by his father Duncanary Davis and mother Cynthia Pierson Davis, Grand parents & Great grand parents.  He leaves to honor & cherish his memory Daughters, Makayla Pierson,  Amuyrian Pierson, Bonus Daughter Janiyah Champion.  Sister, Faronda Pierson Ambers (Tim), Shawnea Skinner, Brother Korwin (Courtney), Grandmother, Millie Dotie, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & Family.  And most important Special Friend Xenia Qualls.
