Mr. James Dwayne Heckard

James Dwayne Heckard was born February 28, 1949 in Terrell, Texas to the late Jere Yvonne Heckard and James Heckard. He attended school in Terrell, TX. After graduating he went to truck driving school.


He had a great personality and was loved by many. Mr. Heckard was known by many. At an early age he accepted Christ at Southern Crest Baptist Church, Dallas, TX. He loved to sing, he was a member of the Southern Crest choir.


Mr. Heckard departed this life on Friday, February 4, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jere Yvonne Heckard and James Heckard, Brothers, Sonny Hicks and Gregory Heckard, Sister, Ester L. Heckard.


Mr. Heckard leaves to cherish his memory: brothers, Donald Heckard (Ann), Bruce Heckard (V’Andrea), Talley Talley, Elder Ronnie Holliness (Magaret); sisters, Vickie Heckard and Bridget Moody; aunts, Vesta Heckard Knox of San Antonio, TX, Rev. Della Holliness of Los Angles, California, Velma Holliness, Mark Estelle Brumsey, Burney Holliness, all of Dallas, TX, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends. Mr. Napoleon Denson

Rev. Napoleon Denson was born April 28, 1931 in Terrell to the parents of Robert and Florence Denson and attended Terrell public schools.

He worshiped and preached God’s Word at numerous churches in Terrell. He retired from preaching at Mt. Calvary BC of Terrell.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie Denson, daughters Brittney, Vanessa, & Sharon Denson. Sons Eric and Chris Denson. He also leaves behind a baby sister Shirely Gipson and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Wilburn Crenshaw Jr, born October 24, 1939 in Terrell, Texas died on December 24, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Crenshaw was a long time resident of Terrell and later moved to Dallas. He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, and a host of other family and Friends.

Ms. Roslyn Alice Duplessis

Ms. Roslyn Duplessis born on July 25, 1957 in New Orleans Orleans Parish. Ms. Duplessis moved and lived in Terrell, Texas until she died on December 7, 2021 in her residence. Ms. Duplessis leaves to cherish her memories, children and a host of other relatives and friends.


Memorial Services were held on December 18th in New Orleans.

Mrs. Thelma Jean Lee

Thelma Jean (Scott) Lee was born to the late Alexander and Jimmie Lee Scott in Crandall, Texas. She moved to Terrell with her family at an early age and became a member of the United COGIC. She attended and graduated from Terrell ISD.

She met and married the love of her life, Charles Ray Lee, Sr. on February 10, 1967, and to this union five children were born. She reared two grandchildren of which one preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 54 years, Charles Ray Lee, Sr.; two sons, Charles Ray Lee, Jr., (Felicia Lee) and Paul Ray Lee; three daughters, Regina Session, Wanda Lee, and Santana Lee Jacobs (Brandon Jacobs); a reared granddaughter, Marquita Dorn (Marquis Holloman, Sr.); eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two sisters, three brother, a God sister, Gwendalyn Gilbert; special cousin, Shirley Nathan; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Mr. James E. Hall, Sr.

Mr. James Edward Hall Sr. was born on August 16, 1948, in Seagoville, Texas to the parentage of Ernest and C.B. Hall. James received his education through Henderson Co. Jr. College and Burnett School system and was a member of the graduating class 1967. James accepted Christ at an early age at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Terrell, Tx. After his marriage to Belinda Bowman Hall, he united with St. Luke CME Church under the leadership of Rev. John P. Brown, where he remained until his transition.

James was drafted into the military services in February 1968 and actively served in the Marine Corps Reserve until being honorably discharged in February 1970 as a SupCo, ProServ, 5th ME8 While serving he received the following commendations: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2*, Rifle Marksman Badge and Good Conduct Medal. Upon completion of active-duty status, James continued his military career in the Texas National Guard for the next 20 years, thus retiring in 1994 as Transportation Supervisor, 1st SG-E7. During his tenure in the Texas National Guard, he received the Armed Forces Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Driver/Mechanic Badge, and the Texas Faithful Service Medal. James was truly a Soldier as he was proud to say: I WAS A SOLDIER, I AM A SOLDIER, I WILL ALWAYS BE A SOLDIER. James work history included Department of Human Services and Paslodes.

James was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
He leaves to treasure his wonderful memory, wife, Belinda Hall; four children, Charlotte Hall, Diondra Adway (Michael), Whitney Hall, and James Edward Hall Jr. (Keshona Hall); one brother Charlie Hall, and three sisters, Rosie Davis (Mervin), Gertis Sears (James), and Georgia Brumley; six grandchildren, Jayden Hall, Ja’Kyri Adway, Jace Hall, ShaKyla Hall, Jacwa Hall, Jaheam Amos; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

We Love you more than you will ever know, but when GOD called your name, we had to let go, Spread your wings & fly away, and we will see you again someday.

Mr. William “Troy” Wilson

William Earl “Troy” Wilson was born to the parentage of Marvin Black and Enda Wilson on October 06, 1960, in Terrell Texas. William was Preceded in death, by his Mom Enda Wilson, Dad Marvin Black, and two brothers, Leonard “Lenny” Wilson, and Cedric Wilson. William attended Terrell High School, where he graduated in 1980. He started working for Terrell State Hospital in 1979.

He went on to work for TMI, where he was employed for 15 years. William attended Textile Maintenance School, where he received his Certification as a Textile Specialist, in 2000. William then began his own business (Quality Services) in 2001, where he was working until he was called home. William accepted Christ at an early age at the Shiloh Baptist Church.

He went on to fellowship with Temple Missionary Baptist Church, William was ordained as Deacon at Covenant Baptist Church of Lancaster Tx, in 2001, where he went on to serve as Deacon, Church bus driver, Praise Team member, carpet cleaner, yard crew, and the decorating committee. He was currently a member of Mt. Hebron Victory Faith Center Church, where he served as an Assistant Superintendent, prayer warrior and teacher, a choir member, assistant maintenance, and anything else that needed to be done. He loved being the Biblical Content Reader during Sunday school.

He is survived by, Wife, Sherry Wilson, Step mom Tilley Black, son Keitron “Fred”Randall, three -daughters, Tina Mingo Urquhart ( Robert), Laniqua Wilson, Netavia “Cete” Wilson, four grand -children, Timothy White , Kavien Randall, Shalecia Truitt, Ariyonna Urquhart, two great -grandchildren, King and Kamryn White, three sisters, Ethel Livingston, Sandra Wilson, and Cora Edinbyrd (Romia), One brother, Joseph Wilson(Tammie), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, who loved him dearly and his church family

Sandra Rene Glaspie Perkins

Sandra Rene Glaspie Perkins was born December 25, 1956, to the parentage of the late, Alfredrich and Rosa B. Glaspie. October 13, 2021, she earned her crown with daughters along her bedside. Sandra attended and graduated from Terrell High School in 1975, and then went straight into the workforce.

She was employed 26 years by Terrell State Hospital as a Psychiatric Nurse Assistant Supervisor from 1994 until she retired November 2020. Sandra has been a member of the Holy Temple Church her entire life. Growing up as a youth she accepted Christ in her life and was a faithful willing servant wherever she could help. She was a dedicated participant in the tambourine ministry.

Sandra is preceded in death by parents: Alfredrich & Rosa B. Glaspie. She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters: Yashica Perkins and Devin Perkins; two grandsons: Vincent and Quinnshard Wells; two granddaughters: Azariya and Zion Perkins; brothers: Ernest (Cheryl) Nickerson, Adolphus (Cheryl) Glaspie, Craig Fountain; sisters: Luella (Robert) Mays, Rosa (Arthur) Allen, Charlesa Glaspie; adopted brother: Stanley (Dorothy) Nickerson; adopted sisters: Janet Turner, Brenda Allen and special friend: Donald Freeney. Extended family of love: Charlotte Smith, Dedria Lewis, Blynthia Kennedy, Kathleen Harris, Vickie Denson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Maurice A. Hill

Maurice Antwayne Hill was born December 15, 1972 in Terrell, Texas, to the late Rev. Morgan & Georgia Hill II. He attended Terrell High School and graduated with the class of 1991. He graduated from Southwestern Christian College with his Associates Degree. He continued his education at Harding University graduating with his BA. He began his Teacher/Coaching career with Terrell ISD, Red Oak ISD, Mesquite ISD, Ennis ISD & current at Princeton ISD.
He accepted Christ and was baptized at the Union Valley BC, Terrell, Texas

He moved to Princeton, TX and united at the McKinney First Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Louis Rosenthall.

He was united in marriage in November 1996 to Tamika Hill, and to this union four children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory; wife of 24 years, Tamika Hill, Sons Wesley Parker, Marcellus Hill, Jalaydon Hill, Daughters, Chloe Hill and Cara Hill., Siblings, Rev.
