James Dwayne Heckard was born February 28, 1949 in Terrell, Texas to the late Jere Yvonne Heckard and James Heckard. He attended school in Terrell, TX. After graduating he went to truck driving school.
He had a great personality and was loved by many. Mr. Heckard was known by many. At an early age he accepted Christ at Southern Crest Baptist Church, Dallas, TX. He loved to sing, he was a member of the Southern Crest choir.
Mr. Heckard departed this life on Friday, February 4, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jere Yvonne Heckard and James Heckard, Brothers, Sonny Hicks and Gregory Heckard, Sister, Ester L. Heckard.
Mr. Heckard leaves to cherish his memory: brothers, Donald Heckard (Ann), Bruce Heckard (V’Andrea), Talley Talley, Elder Ronnie Holliness (Magaret); sisters, Vickie Heckard and Bridget Moody; aunts, Vesta Heckard Knox of San Antonio, TX, Rev. Della Holliness of Los Angles, California, Velma Holliness, Mark Estelle Brumsey, Burney Holliness, all of Dallas, TX, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.
