Lillie Marie Henderson Prince White was born February 6, 1920 in Terrell, TX to the late Mose Henderson and the late Nina Flowers Henderson. Lillie Marie had a wonderful time growing up with all her siblings who have preceded her in death Annie Ruth Henderson, Leon Henderson, Turner Henderson, Zelma Henderson, Cleophus Henderson, Jessie Mae Henderson and Mozell Henderson. 

Lillie Marie White graduated from Burnett High School and married Fred Edward Prince in 1937. To this Union, their only child Velma Prince was born. After the death of her first husband, Lillie married Mr. Turner White and remained married until he passed. 
Lillie Marie White loved and cared for others deeply. Her generosity, ways of making each person feel special and her delicious meals impacted her family, church members, the Terrell community and beyond. 

A phenomenal cosmetologist, internationally known seamstress and lover of all things fashionable, Lillie Marie White left a mark on the beauty and fashion industry throughout the years. One of her many significant accomplishments was being a graduate of  the Madam C.J. Walker’s School of Cosmetology. 

As an entrepreneur, Lillie Marie White served in excellence as a mentor who provided unbiased knowledge to whomever sought her guidance. 

Lillie Marie White was an honorable, virtuous, strong, responsible, accountable, intelligent and wise woman of God who was preceded in death by many whom she adored including her baby girl Dr. Velma Prince Smith. Left to cherish her memory are: Dr. Roscoe C. Smith (Velma); her granddaughters, Robbie S. Redmon (Christopher) and Minister Jacquelyn Smith (Pastor Cecil T. Smith,II) and a host of great, great-great and even great-great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, church members and more.

Cecelia Marie Willie was born September 9, 1946 in Terrell, Texas to the parentage of the late Leroy Brumsey, Sr. and Ellarine Blue Brumsey.
She graduated from Burnett High School in 1964 and attended Bishop College. Cecelia was united in marriage to James Charles Willie January 6, 1969.

Cecelia worked at the Terrell State Hospital as a mental health worker and worked at Terrell ISD until retirement. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Cecelia accepted Christ at an early age.

Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband James Charles Willie, her parents Leroy Brumsey Sr and Ellarine Blue Brumsey, Siblings Henry Arthur “Sonny,” Leroy Brumsey Jr., Glenn Brumsey, Mary Louise Brumsey King, and Brenda Brumsey.

She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters Paula Willie and Felicia Willie; one son Carlos Willie; five grandchildren, Dejuanna Willie, Devona Ray (Brandon), Demaris Langley, Axel James Herron, and Ja’kiyah Lanae Speck; two great-grandchildren, Dquavion Jackson, and Brandon Ray Jr.; brother, Carlton Brumsey; sisters, Sarah Brumsey and Lynnette Brumsey, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

James Richardson, Jr. was affectionately known as “Boxhead”. James was born February 8, 1948, in Shreveport, Louisiana. James departed this life on July 2, 2023, at home surrounded by family and several longtime friends.

James, along with his parents and siblings moved to Terrell, Texas in 1963. He graduated from W.H. Burnett High School in 1966. James married his high school sweetheart Jo Lucille Hardin Richardson in June of 1968. To this union,
two children were born: Derrick and Detric. Also, in 1968 he was drafted into the United States Army where he completed basic training at Fort Polk, Louisiana and was stationed for almost 2 years at US Army Base Garrison (USAG) Schweinfurt, Germany. He returned to the states and served 4 years in the National Guard Reserve.

He leaves to cherish his memories, wife Jo Lucille of 55 years; his children, Derrick, Detric; his treasured dog Patrick; grandchildren Chesani Howard, Devonte Emory, Dejaniri Sharp, Detrianna and Kanodrick Richardson; 5 great grands, brothers Adam (Sandra), Leroy (Brenda), Lonzo and sisters Betty Richardson Lyons, Ida P. Edwards (Robert),
Ruthie Richardson-Robinson, Tonya Richardson Dean (Rodney); and host of relatives and friends.

Mary Elizabeth Mills was born July 27, 1932 in Monfort, Texas, to the parentage of
the late Addie Glover Medford and Ross Mills. Mary attended school in Henderson
ISD, and then moved to Kaufman, Texas. Mary then moved and made Rockwall,
Texas her home.

Mary was united in marriage to Charlie Walter in 1989. Mary gave her life to Christ
at an early age. Mary worked as a maid throughout the years, and also became a
foster parent.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving sons, Earnest Earl (Mary) Pryor of
Dallas, Texas, and Robert Earl (Patricia) David of Rockwall, Texas, Gerald Wayne
Harris of Rockwall, Texas, James Gene Pryor, 7 grandchildren, 23 great-
grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ms. Sandra Marie Howard was born May 2, 1961, in Wills Point,
Texas to the late Charlie Howard and Mattie Robinson. She attended Cartwright
school in Wills Point, Texas. In her later years, she met Paul Green and from their
unification came three daughters. The eldest daughter being Latasha Howard,
middle child, Tashara Wilson, and youngest child Likishia Mcinnis. She had a great
personality and was loved by many. Ms. Sandra Howard was known by many and
did not meet a stranger. At an early age, she was a faithful member of Saint Mary
Church of God in Christ where she served until her departure. She loved to play
Bingo and watch lifetime. Sandra Howard devoted her life to her mother,
brothers, kids, and grandkids.

Sandra Howard departed this life on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. She is preceded in
death by her parents Charlie Howard and Mattie Robinson, her grandmother
Martha Smith, her brother Tracey Howard. She also leaves behind to cherish her
memories: The eldest member of her family Amie Ross, her long term boyfriend
Ray Ybarra, three daughters, Latasha Howard, Tashara Wilson (Adrian), Likishia
Mcinnis (Johnny), her four brothers Charles Howard (Virginia), Michael Howard
(Crescentia), Martin Howard, and Christopher Howard (Yaisa), 9 grandkids,
Marquies, Trevariyus, Miracle, Paul, Raymond Jr, Akeelah, Jaden, Damari,
K’Aycen, and one great son Kyrie Smith, and one great granddaughter Amillie
Wells, and abundance of nieces and nephews.

Roland Willis was born in Amory Mississippi July 11, 1940 to the parentage of Jimmie Olives Williams and Roland Willis Green. To this union 3 children were born, Williams Willis, Johnny Willis, and Roland Willis. Roland’s family moved to California and then to Ben Wheeler Texas.

Roland was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Henry Willis, Kaja Willis, Leonard Willis, Billy Willis, 3 grandsons, and 4 great- grandchildren. Roland was employed by Palmer Drilling Company as a well digger until his health began to fail. Roland was also employed as
a security guard for Brookshire’s Warehouse until he was forced to retire. Roland is survived by his wife of 47 years Evelyn Banks; children’s mother, Bobbie Willis; children, Beverly Mapps( Clyde), Marcus Willis (Felicia ) Dexter Willis, Bonita Clark ( Jessie),
Maron Bush; Roland was also blessed with Evelyn’s 5 children,Delois Harris (Charlie) Martha Tims (Claude) Joyce Lee (Benjamin) Vickey Brown (Lenard) Marvin Banks Jr(Gwendolyn); siblings Shirley Parker, Tamous Willis, Emma Turner; 23 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; very special first cousin, Willie Neal (Loving known as (Cuttin -Bill),and a host of nieces, and nephews.

Mary “Louise” Brumsey King was born February 7, 1942, in Terrell, Texas to the parentage of the late Leroy Sr. and Ellarine Blue Brumsey. She graduated 3 rd in her class from Burnett High School in 1960. She played basketball, the piano, trumpet, and clarinet. She attended Los Angeles Trade College in 1962. Louise, as she is affectionately known to everyone, was married to Travis King on March 16, 1967. Through this union three children were born.
Mary “Louise” worked at Terrell State Hospital as an aide, and later as a supervisor. She retired after 22 years of service. She worked at the Texas Workforce Solution 10 years after retiring from TSH.

Mary “Louise” was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Rev. V.C. Coleman. Mary sang in the choir while growing up.

Mary “Louise” is preceded in death by her husband, Travis Dell King, her parents, Leroy Sr. and Ellarine Blue Brumsey, siblings, Henry Arthur “Sunny”, Leroy Jr., Glenn, and Brenda Brumsey.

She leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Kirk (Tammy) King, Miami, FL; Keishun King, Terrell, TX and daughter, Kathy Brumsey King, Terrell, TX; grandsons, Dr. Jay McCullar (Yolanda), who she raised like a son: Jammal McCullar; Jarrod McCullar (Leticia), Jaderrick McCullar; Darius, Dante, Keiundre, Keibrum, and Ka’Mauri King; granddaughters, Chelesa, Aleah, Keiamber, Kiara, and Ka’Morah King; fourteen great-grandchildren; three special nieces that she raised, Latasha, Lamica, and Aliyah Brumsey; brother Carlton Brumsey; sisters, Sarah Brumsey, Cecelia Willie, and Lynnette Brumsey; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special life-long friends, Nadine Cathcart Fitzgerald, Annie Bowman Cathcart, and Bobbie Henderson.

Saturday, April 15, 2023, will forever be a day of somber remembrance for the family of Jeanne Elizabeth Wilcots Brooks when she passed from earthly labor to heavenly reward. 

Jeanne was born September 2, 1934, the second child of J.B. and Laura Steele Wilcots in Terrell, Texas. She was smart, quiet, unassuming and learned to play the piano at an early age. This musical ability was evident and utilized for more than 75 years before she officially retired as the pianist and choir director for Lone Star Baptist Church in Kaufman, Texas. She also served as the pianist for Mt. Calvary and Mt. Moriah Baptist churches in Terrell, TX. Jeanne attended the Post Oak Bend School on the grounds of Lone Star Baptist Church and graduated from Burnett High School in Terrell, TX.  Her musical powers shown here, as she penned the lyrics for “Oh Burnett High” as her class song, which later became the school song.  In addition to her work at the church, Jeanne’s employment included Franklin’s dress shop in Terrell, Texas; Texas Instruments in Richardson, Texas (retiring after 30 years); and finally retiring from the city of Terrell in the Mayor’s Office. Jeanne was also a long-time member of the 22 Marechal Niel Club in Terrell, TX.

She was joined in holy matrimony on August 6, 1960 to Elbert Brooks and to this union 2 sons were born. Jeanne is survived by her husband; sons Elbert Kyle and Ivan Gregory (Nikki); one granddaughter, Alicia; 3 sisters, Mrs. Cora Clay, Rockwall, TX; Mrs. Helen Shaw, Garland, TX; Dr. Donna Dabney, Hampton, VA; her only brother, Early Douglas Wilcots, Fairview, TX; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Joyfully welcoming Jeanne to her new home with her Savior are her parents, J.B. and Laura Wilcots; her sisters, Mary Frances Wilcots and Birdie Mae Wilcots Gaddis; and precious baby brother, David Norris Wilcots.
