Mr. Brian D. Barrett

BRIAN DALE BARRETT, was born on April 14, 1966 to the union of Willie Dennis Barrett and Voncella Davis. He had a quiet confidence about himself, was a caring and nurturing individual with the heart of a servant and the true spirit of a care-giver.

Brian went on to work in the educational field for over 38 years at Tarrant County Junior College in Fort Worth, TX. with positions as Assistant Director of Admissions and Registrar.

Brian was a Christian and joined Friendship-West Baptist Church in Dallas, TX under the leadership of Senior Pastor Dr. Frederick Douglas Haynes III . He was a member of the Praise & Worship Team and attended church services regularly. Brian had the voice of an angel and sang in many of his friend’s weddings and at various functions when requested.

Brian leaves to cherish his memories: a special “God” daughter, Rhonda Collins; 3 special “God” sisters- Lanelle Thomas (Willie), Michelle Wysinger (Jackie) and Ingrid Walker (Vincent); one special grand-daughter Zya and a host of relatives, cousins and numerous friends from coast to coast.

  2. Brian was my boss for 16yrs. He was more than my boss, he was a friend and therapist when I needed one. One of his favorite thing to say was “And your point is?” I am still speechless and cannot believe he has left us too soon. I will never forget him nor how much he meant to us. The only comfort is that he is now with his mom whom he terribly missed. You will forever be in my heart, until we meet again may you rest in peace…Rhonda, we are hear for you if you every need anything.

  3. My dear friend is gone too soon but is now resting in eternal peace. I will forever remember the wonderful friendship he shared with me and many others. I think everyone would agree that he knew how to dress and drive in “style”. And boy could he play spades!

“Thank you for being my friend”. I will miss you greatly. Godspeed and I offer my condolences to the family. Rest now.
